khairatabad Ganesh is one of the tallest and biggest Ganesha statue which is being launched in the Hyderabad old city during the Vinayaka Chaturthi. Hundreds and thousands of devotees will visit this khairatabad Ganesh during this festival. It is also called as Vinayaka Chavithi in Sanskrit, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu, Chavath ( चवथ ) in Konkani and as Chathaa (चथा) in Nepal Bhasa. This khairatabad Ganesh will appear in different avatar every year. Similarly, for the year 2011 khairatabad Ganesh is going to entertain us with a new avatar of Anantha Padmanabha Swamy.

At khairatabad, this statue is being designed by Ganesh Utsav committee. Last year into those in 2010, they established the statue of 40 feet tall. But this year they have made a record by introducing 50 feet tall khairatabad Ganesh ( khairatabad Ganesh height). Along with the replica of Anantha Padmanabha Swamy idol, the have placed 1,600 kg laddu and 20-foot dhoop stick. This khairatabad laddu is being offered by devotee from East Godavari district. The khairatabad Ganesh was established on 1 September 2011.

The khairatabad Ganesh idol is designed in a wonderful way, as it lots Ganesha is sitting on the Eagle (Garuda or falcon) vahanam and you can find many snakes giving him the protection from behind.

At the end of this Vinayaka Chaturthi, the khairatabad Ganesh laddu will be sold. khairatabad Ganesh laddu weight is approximately 1600 kg. It will be fetched in lakhs.
